Ayurveda – The Ancient Science of Life

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine and lifestyle that is based on natural principles. The knowledge we have now is by three surviving texts of Charaka, Sushruta, and Vaghbata, which are considered to be the foundation of Ayurvedic medicine. These texts provide a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, diagnosis, and treatment of various ailments.

Ayurveda emphasizes that the human being is made of three types of energies and the harmony of these energies is the basis for good health – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The balance of these energies can be affected by our diet, lifestyle, emotions, and environmental factors.
